Prof. Ramón Pedro Artiaga Díaz
Nanjing University, China
Biography:
My research focuses on the study of the thermal and rheological properties of materials from a multiple perspective. It includes the behavior of materials, the relationship between their properties and their structure, the improvement of experimental methods and the development of models. Initially my interest was focused on polymers and composites but gradually, inorganic compounds and a few metals were studied. Since 2010, an important part o my time is dedicated to the study of Metal Organic Frameworks, mainly focused on barocaloric properties. I am also interested in the rheological behavior of polymers and composites in order to optimize their use depending on the specific application for which they are intended. While working with different types of materials, I was always interested in mathematical modeling of thermal transformations and kinetics, and how the thermal analysis methods can be improved to obtain the most reliable information.
